Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

Edited based on the hand copy only.

The text contains a fragmentary cult image descritpion, and has been recently edited by Lamante and Lorenz 2015: 263. Presently classified as CTH 832, it has to be considered a cult inventory. The verbal form wemer in line 8′ hints at inventorying activities.

5′: Note the mention of a hare of ivory (differently in Lamante and Lorenz 2015: 263).

7′: On Akkadian ḫarḫadû (a lyre) see Lamante and Lorenz 2015: 263 and Cammarosano 2018: 318, commentary on KUB 38.1+ iii 2.
